"My politics placement was my first introduction to the employment sector within my degree. I found this experience to be extremely valuable as it illustrated my skillset strengths and weaknesses that have ultimately prepared me for post-uni employment. I think this experience is crucial for a CV that stands out as well as a unique insight on what you can do with your degree if you may be unsure. In short, if you’d like a module that enables you to practice some independence and learn more about yourself, I would strongly recommend applying for the placement module!"

"My placement was held at The Key where I took part in research to help them provide up-to-date and relevant experience for all young people involved in their projects. I learnt new skills I had never previously experienced as well as gaining first-hand knowledge with facilitators, young people and different departments within The Key, helping me to expand my knowledge of the non-commercial sector as a whole. I thoroughly enjoyed my placement although admittedly I was apprehensive to first involve myself, but putting myself out of my comfort zone really helped me gain further knowledge into the working world and expand my experiences."

"I really enjoyed my placement module which really helped me develop my communicational and organisational skills. In this module I have learnt a valuable lesson about operating in a working environment and adapting as a team to work productively."
